Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness, consists of simple yogic techniques that can be enjoyed by everyone, no matter his or her age or physical ability. It is a complete science that includes breathing exercises (pranayam), yoga postures (asanas), sound, chanting (mantra) and meditation. It is designed to provide you with the experience of your highest consciousness.
- “Yoga” means “union,” of your body, your mind and your spirit, from the root “to yoke,” as in yoking oxen to pull a cart. Yoga unites your body and mind to serve your spirit (or higher self).
- Your body is the physical vessel in which you journey through life. You must understand it and learn how to make the best use of it.
- You are not your mind or your body. Both must be mastered to serve your higher consciousness, or spirit. Your spirit forms the core of your being. As no lamp can burn without fuel, so no life can flourish without a relationship to its spirit. The study and practice of yoga is meant to guide you to experience your true origin, which is infinity.
- Kundalini Yoga allows you to explore your dimensions, depth, nature and potential as a human being. Virtually an “owners manual” for human consciousness, the practice of Kundalini Yoga is a metaphor for the coil of energy that lies at the base of the spine which represents the creative potential that resides in each of us. In the practice of Kundalini Yoga we seek to liberate and consciously channel the flow of energy from the base of the spine to the creative centers in the brain and provides you with a technology to control your physical structure and master your mind.
With Kundalini Yoga you can make contact with your infinity, strengthen your intution, your sense of your innate inner wisdom, as well as, open the doors of your conscious awareness so that you can exceed your full potential.
